| Wow. Sorry I haven't written in over a month:) Life's been crazy. As usual. Busy classes, two jobs, keeping up to date with friends, etc. I was talking to my brother the other night, and it looks as if I will definitely have a sister-in-law in the near future. It was so cute! He was talking about when he first met her, and how the thing that attracted him to her was her amazing confidence. He said that she was the best thing that had ever happened to him, and that he couldn't imagine his future without her. By the way, did I mention that he is close to 30 and this is his first girlfriend? No, he wasn't a freak that couldn't get a girl, instead he realized early on that dating today is a big game. He chose to forgo the game and focus on preparing himself for marriage (you know, education, job, house, etc). Now, since he waited, he has found this awesome girl who the whole family loves. I am so proud of him for waiting, even though others called him gay or other stupid crap. Many people his age are divorced b/c they didn't take the time to wait for THE ONE. I really believe that God planned for all this for my brother. It is so special to hear them talk, b/c neither one has a "history", so they don't have any comparisons to make or anything of that nature. Talking to Tommy the other night helped me reaffirm my belief that God's timing is best, so don't rush it. Moral of this story: Trust God to match you with THE ONE. Hey, He's God, why couldn't He give you the desires of your heart? | | |
| Ok, so today was the first day of my sophomore year in college. I woke up this morning feeling great. Things soured slightly when I arrived at the Park & Ride lot. It was as crowded as Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve! Then I found out that the route had changed. That totally disoriented me and made me 2 minutes late to my first class. Not a huge deal though. It's gonna be a fun class. Then I went to my 10am class. Saw one of my good friends and sat beside 'em. "ABC" was quiet, but I thought nothing of it. Then, ABC said they needed to talk to me. Sure, ok, I thought. After class, ABC told me some stuff that put my honesty and integrity in a questionable light at best. I knew I was innocent of said stuff, but how was ABC to know? I'd hoped that due to our friendship and some of the things we'd shared with each other, ABC would give me the benefit of the doubt. I wasn't able to prove my innocence. As a matter of fact, the issue did indeed make me sound like a betrayer and gossiper. You know what really upsets me though? My friend is hurt over something I didn't even do. That hurts me too. Even worse... ABC is skeptical about the whole "Christian thing" and thinks that the majority of professing Christians are hypocrites. It upsets me to know that ABC now has more "proof" for their belief. And all of the proof is based on a malicious lie. That sucks. Also, I don't know what I can say or do to prove my innocence, honesty, loyalty, love, etc. I pray that my conduct during our friendship attests to my innocence. I've never betrayed a confidence and never intend to start. I hope I haven't lost one of my best friends forever. I just don't know what else I can do. I definitely want to talk to ABC face to face like adults and hopefully get this settled and the bond restored. ABC, you know who you are. If you read this, please know that I still love you as a friend and desperately want this issue resolved. I want my buddy back. I don't let go easily. Look deep inside and point to one instance where I have betrayed you. If you find one, I'll leave you alone. Talk to me soon.
, Jamie

| 1. Jesus! Trite, but true.
2. Politics. Love reading, watching, discussing it.
3. Mountain Dew. Horrible for the kidneys but it dances on the taste buds .
4. Friends. I have several really special friends, but I love mis amigos.
5. Da' family. Nuff said.
6. The beach. There's nothing better than sitting in a chair in the sand with the surf tickling your toes. Even better is walking up and down the beach with someone you love.
7. Singing. I'm not very good at it, but it comes from the heart and I'm making a joyful noise to the Lord, so who cares?
8. Snow. Some of my favorite memories come from snowy days.
9. Rain and Rainbows. Hey! They go together. I love listening to the rain and watching for a rainbow to appear. Reminds me of the promises of God.
10. Music by Mark Schultz! My favorite artist! Check out his new song Broken and Beautiful. It is beautiful! Can't wait to buy his new cd!
| Ever wondered what makes me tick? What gets my goat? What annoys me? What irritates me?
1. People who are redundant and repeat things.
2. Liberals who are stupid. (George W. Bush obviously caused Hurricane Katrina by sending a space probe to mess with weather patterns. Yes, I have been told this.)
3. Drama queens. (Oh my word! I think I broke a nail! My boyfriend thinks I'm fat and my parents are making me get a job! Oh the horror!)
4. people that type with no capitalization drive me nuts also i hate no punctuation
5. People that never use their turn signals. Yes, they are there for a reason! They are not vestigal organs.
6. Speaking of vestigal organs, evolutionists are next on the list. If you wanna believe that your ancestor was a literal slime ball that's fine, but don't demand that I believe it.
7. People who aren't up to speed on current events. I'm not saying you need to know the Prime Minister of England's name (Tony Blair for those who are scratching their heads ), but at least know your senators' names! (Dole and Burr).
8. People who take out their bad day on you. We've all met them. I did not cause your problem(s).
9. Math. The subject is horrible. The hemisphere of my brain responsible for math has been on a leave of absence for quite some time!
10. 2-faced people. Refer to a previous post for an example.
Note: I do not annoy easily. Most people need to commit a combination of the above things before I am deeply annoyed. Trust me, you will know if I am deeply annoyed. However, you may not see any side effects of a mild annoyance.
